Yo! I’m Alex!
My job description is wedding and portrait photographer, but I wholeheartedly believe this is more than a job. It’s my calling. I graduated from The Art Institute for Photography and have been snapping photos for years. In fact, my passion for photography started as many passions do… with a boy. True story: My best friend in high school had her heart broken by a guy. So, obviously, I decided to dress her up, take adorable photos of her with my family’s nice camera, and post them all over MySpace. You know, as you do in high school to get even and pump up your friend’s self-esteem. I’m sure the guy regretted his decision, and as for me? I tapped into a gift and passion I’ve been pursuing ever since.
I live in a small town called West, Texas, about 20 minutes outside Waco. If I’m completely honest, though, I really live in Target… and live off of Tex-Mex. Chips and Queso are life, wouldn’t you agree? I also thrive on long lunches with friends, way too much matcha green tea, and speaking fluently in sarcasm. My days are spent editing photos on my couch, watching re-runs of “The Office,” and getting to know you, my clients! Although, I’d say that my clients are more than just clients. After sharing in some of the most incredible times of their lives with them, I am lucky to call them friends of mine. I can promise my client-friends two things: We will get you a ton of stunning, hilarious, and touching photos, and we’ll have a damn good time together getting them.
I'm super in love with Jesus because He has radically changed my life over three years ago. He saved me on my first mission trip to Honduras. Now, I travel to Honduras twice a year with Friends of Los Niños where we serve children living in an orphanage and a village called Brisas del Salto. These children have my whole entire heart. I’m not a regular aunt. I’m a cool aunt. Come on, look how adorable my nephew Luke and my nieces Piper Rose and Adalyn are! I have to show them off. They have been giving me so much joy for 11 years now.
I have myself a handsome boyfriend, James Carson. We started dating four days after our first date and he quickly became my best friend. He’s everything I’ve ever prayed for and more.
